Days before the flight to Japan are very intense and @tanjazakelj is working on her last block of pre-Olympic training – but also having some fun. Tanja took her Stumpjumper to bike park Krvavec and her Aethos to easy spin around the @visitljubljana. She also did a very intense training session with her coach Samo Rauter in Bike Park Ljubljana. It's so great to have all of these options in and around the city and we can also give big thanks to @mestnaobcinaljubljana for making it happen!

Bad news! @zak_gomilscek had a close encounter with one of the trees in Schladming and broke his finger. He’ll undergo surgery very quickly, then it’s time to heal and get ready for the next races. Hopefully he’ll be ready for Maribor. Send healing vibes and keep your fingers crossed!

@tanjazakelj got a big boost of motivation after winning her 10th national title and maybe that helped her today in Les Gets. She was 32nd in the wet & cold conditions, best so far in the 2021 World Cup. “I was fighting and I’m happy with the race,” said Tanja!

Wild track and wet conditions took their toll today in Les Gets, with many of the fastest hitting the dirt hard. @zabjekjure didn’t really go on the ground, but finished his crash in the tree. After that all hopes for the good result were gone, but his fast splits show that he has the speed, just needs to connect all of the dots. Next World Cup stop > Maribor!

JURE GOES INTO FINALS
P43 for @zabjekjure today in the qualies – solid result that gives him great attack position for tomorrow. “I was too restrained, didn’t do the best run. I have to find faster lines for tomorrow and have a better one,” said Jure.
@zak_gomilscek didn’t do as good, he wasn’t fast enough for the finals: “I didn’t have enough time to get fully familiar with the track. I still went all out in my qualies, but did too many mistakes and lost time.”
